GET REAL Involved
!

GET REAL Involved! was created to make it easy for students to get involved in volunteering.  Our goal is to provide students with  a turn-key opportunity to serve in their community.  Whether to earn service hours or to just give a little back, our students are finding fulfillment in the act of service.

We strive to break down all the barriers to involvement by  scheduling the time, coordinating the service trips with local agencies and providing transportation.  We also think the camaraderie of a student group adds to the enjoyment, and allows students to have a shared experience they can talk about and explore the significance of among themselves.

This years' schedule is listed in the left sidebar, but don't forget:  if you'd like to coordinate an effort for your group just let us know, we'd be happy to help or show you how it's done.

Also, we are available to speak on the topic of the value of volunteering, how our program can help your students, or anything related to the subject of student volunteerism.

NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS

Volunteer hours are important - and GET REAL Involved! strives to provide opportunities for students to earn important service hours for BRIGHT FUTURES SCHOLARSHIPS as well as other service clubs and honors programs.  To help us with this, we have begun using a website called Eventbrite to manage event registration for all future events. EARN SERVICE HOURS

To qualify for Bright Futures Scholarships students in Florida must complete 75 hours of community service.  Most other grants and scholarships require some sort of community service activity for consideration.  But where can you complete this service?  (read more)
